A Café Dedicated to Tabletop Roleplaying Games
Just as the mighty baobab grows from a tiny seed, and the tyrannosaurus sprang from an icky puddle of primordial slime, the most epic tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) campaign always starts at the very beginning: Session Zero.
TTRPG players know — or will soon discover — this exhilarating moment. We gather around a table for the very first time, a little shy, our hearts pounding in our chests. Together, we create the characters who will accompany us for months, sometimes even years. We forge the first bonds of friendship, sharpen our weapons, discover whether the Game Master is a benevolent soul or a raving maniac who delights in making our lives difficult, and lay the foundations of the world where countless adventures will unfold.
It was this Session Zero feeling that inspired us to create a café dedicated to TTRPGs. We want to give everyone — whether you're a complete beginner, a grizzled veteran, or simply curious — the chance to experience it in a safe, cosy, and welcoming environment.
Because let's not kid ourselves: just because our characters will spend countless miserable hours trudging through mud and manticore viscera doesn't mean we don't enjoy our creature comforts! We'll offer great acoustics, pleasant lighting, comfortable tables and chairs, and delicious local drinks.
Session Zero will be an inclusive and accessible space where everyone — regardless of experience, age, gender, sexual orientation, or background — will feel like they belong.
Soon, you won't have to worry about finding somewhere to play, forgetting your dice at home, running to a copy shop to print your character sheet at the last minute, or struggling to meet new friends to game with. The only challenges you'll have to face will be that level 20 dragon looming over you, and figuring out how to haul all their loot back to the tavern.
